SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Film-maker and designer, Brian Hill, worked with the Connecting Communites Media Project in the Highlands. Before that he was webmaster, designer and an occasional lecturer at Aberdeen College.

Brian has been both a community development and a design professional for more than twenty years. His skills connect working with people and groups to design and IT.

People and groups:

  • vocational training for young people, community development in deprived communities, communication and life skills training, learning resource development, web design and IT training.

Design

  • graphic design and publishing using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Freehand / Illustrator, Indesign, Acrobat, Dreamweaver / Golive, Flash);
  • video and DVD production using Final Cut Studio (Final Cut Pro, DVD Studio, Soundtrack Pro, Compressor, Live Type) and iMovie and iDVD;

IT

  • experience in support for both Macintosh and WIndows environments, database development in FileMaker Pro, programming and scripting in PERL, Java and ColdFusion.
